Due to the historical character of the city, each year approx 10 visited by millions of tourists. Venice was an important trade hub in the Middle Ages, thus, the city was already a popular travel destination centuries ago. Most tourists arrive during Carnival, but many people also come to the Venice Film Festival. Between Easter and October, Venice is like that, like a bustling beehive, the city is narrow, its winding streets are filled with tourists.

The city standing on the island 7 km2, but additional areas also fall under its jurisdiction, such as for example: Burano, Murano, Torcello. Venice, the "Queen of Lagoons" rises from the sea with the help of billions of wooden piles, which were cut from the forests of the Dolomite mountains. The piles were embedded in the clay and silt beneath the silt, then a layer of marble was placed on top of them, which did not allow moisture to pass through. The airless, a bottom layer soaked in water stopped rotting, thus, the foundation could remain up for centuries. The atmosphere of the city is fascinating, the historic quarter captivates the visitor. Tourists in the narrow streets, the old houses, the huge domes impress most of the visitors, but it creates a sense of absence in some visitors. This is how most people imagine the fairy-tale city, that the old, classicist, baroque and renaissance buildings will be renovated, but unfortunately this is not the case. Most of the buildings are hundreds of years old, and the traces of time are visible on them. We can also see one during our walk in Venice, that above the narrow little street, the clothes of the locals dry on a string connecting two houses.

Venice's climate is more variable and extreme than that, which would be justified by its Mediterranean location. A lot of precipitation is typical, which can even fall in the form of a sudden summer shower. The wettest months are April and November.

Warm summers are characterized by sultry, humid weather, and the winter is bitterly cold. Thanks to humid weather, it is not uncommon either, that the city of Venice is shrouded in fog. The city's climate is the wine (A cold air current sweeps across the Adriatic) and syrup (Coming from North Africa, hot, stuffy wind) significantly affects.
